Matthias Streicher is an Austrian based Director of Photography who has worked on a variety of different projects. Hiw work experience ranges from narrative pieces – such as short films and music videos – to documentaries, commercials and branded content.
His music video Bloodstream has won the public choice award for Best Music Video at the 2019 Musicbed Challenge. The short film Polymath was officially selected as well as nominated for best idea at the 99Fire-Films Award 2019. Further awards for his work as a cinematographer and director include:
- Official selection at the Los Angeles Cinefest 2019 for Dear Love!
- Semi-finalist at the 9th Austrian Independent Film Festival 2018 for The Arrival
- Official selection at the 99Fire-Films Award 2018 for Polsterschloss
- 6th place at the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge 2017 for Good Night!.
Although Matthias has developed his own unique style as a Director of Photography over the past few years he is constantly looking for projects that entail new challenges and encourage him to think outside the box. He is an extremely reliable as well as adaptable cinematographer and best known for his combination of beautiful imagery with a focussed, story-led approach.
